60 Kids went down to the Inland Empire Championships this last weekend, brining home a 4th place team trophy.  There were 5 team records set at the meet, 164 best times, several IES Champions, and a few new qualifying times.  Overall, it wasn’t everything we were hoping for, but so many great races and performances came from this meet that It’s hard to stay disappointed for long.  Part of the fun of the meet was captured in this little IES Harlem Shake video, Enjoy: 1       Here’s some...

THE DYNASTY CONTINUES In an incredible come from behind performance, the Waves dominated Sunday night finals to run away with their fifth consecutive Inland Empire Swimming Junior Championship. It is also the 7th championship in the last 11 years. The Waves now prepare for the Inland Empire Swimming Short Course Championships in Moscow, Idaho during the weekend of March 1-3. The Waves hosted the first ever Senior Open meet this past weekend at the Whitworth Aquatic Center. This was a prelims-finals meet, designed to prepare to our Senior swimmers for the big championship meets coming up in March. 32 Waves swimmers participated, and every single swimmer got a chance to swim their races in both prelims and finals. Whitworth Parking Lot and Lane Use (out of the water this time), There have been some concerns  from Whitworth Security surrounding the parking lots, fire lanes, and campus roads, so please take note: Drive no more than the posted 15 mph on campus, and make sure your high school drivers know this as well.
