January Storm Recap January Storm was a blast. We had 17 kids in Walla Walla, against 14 other teams and 300 kids. Every swimmer went best times, nearing 80% best times by the end of the meet. There were at least 6 new AGS cuts made by Tommy Madill (100 IM, 50 Fly), Kenzi Norman (200 Free, 100 Fly), and Robby Jones (200 Free, 100 back). The Waves hosted the Jingle Bell Splash Meet this past weekend at the Whitworth Aquatic Center. It was a huge success--130 Waves swimmers joined 270 swimmers from Inland Empire and Montana for the biggest ever Waves hosted meet. Everyone rose to challenge, racing with intensity, cheering with enthusiasm, and having a little fun too. Delaney Phillips achieved an Age Group Sectional Qualifying Time in the 11-12 Girls 200 Breaststroke. Her time of 2:46.09 was a drop of over 4 seconds and nearly beat a 7 year old team record. Day by Day. We just rocked the first night of the WA Senior Championships. We had 4 swim, 4 best times, and 2 team records from Christine Renzini, and Nate Endebrock. Currently the Waves are in 3rd, led by Christine placing 2nd, Kaylee Beck 6th, Faith Barr 26th, and Nate placing 13th. Two more JR. National qualifiers from this mornings racing.
