Head Coach Jason Guzman

From the moment I first dove into the water, swimming became more than just a sport—it became a defining part of my life. My journey began in my youth, driven by a natural love for competition, self-improvement, and the challenge of pushing my limits. I swam competitively for five years and played water polo for four, serving as captain my senior year and breaking the league record for the 500 freestyle. These experiences shaped my mindset as both an athlete and a leader, teaching me discipline, perseverance, and the power of strategy in the pool.

Coaching is my way of giving back to the sport that shaped me. For over seven years, I’ve had the privilege of working as a private swim instructor, refining my ability to teach and inspire swimmers of all ages and skill levels. As a head coach, my goal is to instill not just strong technique, but also a deep appreciation for the sport—helping athletes develop confidence, mental toughness, and a champion’s mindset both in and out of the water.

At Stonegate Seahawks, I look forward to building a team culture centered on growth, hard work, and excellence. I believe in pushing my swimmers to reach their highest potential while making the process fun and rewarding. Beyond this team, my passion for coaching extends into continuously learning and innovating my approach to help swimmers perform at their best.

Outside of the pool, I bring a strategic mindset to everything I do. Whether it’s in my career as an options trader or my dedication to mastering different disciplines, I am always focused on improvement, optimization, and peak performance. I look forward to bringing that same drive and commitment to the Seahawks—developing not just fast swimmers, but resilient, goal-oriented athletes ready to take on any challenge.
