Boys and Girls Check-In: Check in swimmers before the start of the meet and prioritize relay swimmers. If a relay swimmer no shows, please call parents & communicate with a coach before the meet begins. Once check-in is complete, update 2 Heat Sheets to turn over to Head Coaches & Ready Bench. Write race assignments on swimmers’ arms in black ink. This job will typically be finished by the time the meet starts.

Volunteer Check-in: Check in volunteers before the start of the meet and and contact any missing volunteers. An easy job that provides a great opportunity to meet other parents on the team.

Concessions Food Pickup / Stand Helper / Cashier / Driver: Deliver food to our Concessions Stand the morning of the meet OR set up our Concessions Stand and sell food during the meet OR manage cash/credit payments OR pick up supplies as needed during the meet. A fun job for those wanting to work with a small team.

Lane Card Runner: Distribute and collect lane cards from timers. Deliver lane cards to the head table. Pick up judges' slips after each heat and deliver to the card sorter at the head table.

Lane Card Sorter/DQ Recorder: Sit at the Head Table and arrange lane cards for each event by finish places. Note heat winners and place winners. Separate cards by teams for data entry. Mark any DQ’s on the swimmer's card (as judged by meet officials) and list the team on the DQ sheet.

Stats Data Entry: Enter meet results, verify/audit time card results on team laptop and transfer DQ codes for our team.

Ready Bench: Distribute lane cards to swimmers before each heat. Organize the swimmers into race, heat, and lane assignments at the ready bench. Move swimmers up to next set of benches. See this YouTube video (Ready Bench) for a better idea of what to expect. A great way to learn the names of all the kids on the team.

Timers: Three timers are assigned to a single lane and are responsible for timing the swimmer in that lane. One timer in each lane will record the three times on the swimmer's card and circle the median time. This involves standing on the pool deck and operating a stopwatch. See this YouTube video (Timers) for a better idea of what to expect. Job requires you to be on your feet but offers an exciting opportunity to be up-close to the action! First-half timers check-in by 8:00 AM. Second-half timers report to Head Table at halftime (Event #38).

Home Crew Support: Assist Home Crew of 6 in setting up canopies, tables, chairs, diving blocks, flags, and other equipment at Mockingbird Pool the night before a meet.

Delivery+Setup / Take Down+Return: Pick up collapsible canopies, foldable tables and chairs, and other items from our Team Shed and set up the same at Away Meet location OR take down the same and return to Team Shed after meet.

On-Call Volunteer: Is on standby and fills in for absent volunteers as needed. May be required to perform any of the tasks listed here. Must check in, remain at meet during your designated time slot, and be available via cell phone so we can contact you for assignments. If called to fill in for an absent volunteer, points will be commensurate to the job completed.

Photographer: Responsible for taking pictures and uploading to the team's Dropbox. Helps capture memories for the team and our social media. Can use phone cameras.

Seahawks Store Operator: Display prizes, stamp swimmer prize cards, and distribute prizes.

Refreshing Tuesdays / Fun Thursdays Purchaser: Donate and drop off drinks, fruit, or treats for our swimmers to enjoy during practices.
- Refreshing Tuesdays / Fun Thursdays Helper: Pass out treats to our swimmers after each practice session 1, 2, and 3. Arrive 15 minutes before the end of each practice session to set up and stay 15-20 minutes after each practice session to pass out treats and clean up trash from pool area.
Note: First half volunteers should arrive by 8:00 AM and report to their stations for further instructions. Second half volunteers should report to their stations towards the end of the half-time break (between Events #38-#39).
