The NES Awards banquet, will be held on Sunday, October 6th at the Newton Marriot. Registration will open on Tuesday, September 3rd. The top 10 swimmers in each age group, (ages 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, 15/16, 17/18 & open) in each event that is offered at the AG Championship meets will recognized. At Junior Nationals, Max Reich (PHX) broke the RES 17-18 100 breast record. His time of 1:02.37 broke the record of 1:02.38 held by Nick D'Innocenzo (MAG)! Andrew Benson (SOLO) made his first Olympic Trials cut breaking the 17-18 100 free record. His time of 50.40 broke the record of 50.45 held by River Wright (ABF)! A record was just reported from the TYR meet in Indy in May! Ella Miller (EDGE) broke the 17-18 50 back RES record with a 29.26. The previous record was 29.43 held by Erin Voss (UN). Jeff Worthy, a coach with New England Swimming since 2007 has passed away after a battle with cancer. Jeff coached in Boston and was very active with the Roxbury YMCA, inner city children and in teaching them to swim. FULL OBITUARY
