Congratulations to Brian Poon (PHX) and Hannah Cox (UVAC), two New England Swimmers who were invited and attended the National Select Camp this past weekend in Colorado. Hannah was selected for her performance in the 800 M Freestyle, and Brian was selected for his overall IMX score. During the camp, these swimmers learned about post race recovery, drug and supplement rules, psychological training skills, nutrition, race strategy and more. The Scholastic All-America Team is made up of high school student-athletes who have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and who have achieved the required time standard in a single event. SAFETY POSTER CONTEST WINNER! Mara Tynan, of Patriot Swim Club, was named the winner of the USA Swimming Safety Poster contest at the annual USA-S Convention in Aneheim, California this week.
