At the SSYS Santa Claus Sprint Meet last weekend, Will Barao (SSYS) broke his own 11-12 NE and RES 400IM records. His time of 4:25.13 bettered his old record of 4:28.25 set earlier this season! Congratulations Will!

NE Records went down this past weekend at three different meets! Anthony Minickiello (KYD) broke four 11-12 New England Records this weekend at the Winter Classic Meet at UVAC! His time of 25.59 in the 50 fly broke the NE Record of 25.90 and the RES record of 25.71 both set by Corey Swanson (ABF) in 2001. Wyatt Ubellacker (CRIM) broke the Open NE-RES record in the 100 fly at the Minneapolis Grand Prix! Wyatt's prelim time of 48.06 breaks the previous record of 48.59 set by Pat Myers at the 2010 New England Senior Meet. Wyatt also set the NE-RES Open record in the 50 free with a time of 20.08, shattering the old record of 20.55 held by Nick Brunelli (OSS) since 2000. Congratulations Wyatt!!
Ryan Harty(GMSC) broke the 15-18 and Open RES 100 backstroke records at the Minneapolis Grand Prix! Ryan's time of 47.77 broke the records of 48.04 set by Aaron Gustafson In 2011. Ryan finished in 4th Place! Congratulations!
This weekend, Max Miranda (ABF) broke the NE record in the 13-14 200 free with a time of 1:42.65 at the Bluefish Meet at Roger Williams. This time breaks the old record of 1:43.14 set by John Wagner (LIAC) in 2006. Max is 14 through the entire short course season so you will be hearing about him often! Congratulations to Sydney Winters (MTSC) who broke the NE and RES records in the 11-12 200 yard freestyle at the NWSC meet at UMASS LOWELL this weekend. Her time of 1:53.39 shattered the previous records of 1:54.17 set by Connie Brown (MVP) in March 1997. Great job Sydney!!!!
Congratulations to Brian Poon (PHX) and Hannah Cox (UVAC), two New England Swimmers who were invited and attended the National Select Camp this past weekend in Colorado. Hannah was selected for her performance in the 800 M Freestyle, and Brian was selected for his overall IMX score. During the camp, these swimmers learned about post race recovery, drug and supplement rules, psychological training skills, nutrition, race strategy and more.
