The LCM season was a successful one for many NE Swimmers. To kick off the season, Aaron Zhu (NWSC) set two NE and NE-RES records. Elizabeth Beisel (ABF-NE) competed last week at the 14th FINA World Championships in Shanghai, China, and won a gold in the LCM 400 IM with a time of 4:31.78, setting a new American record! This Gold medal highlights the successful career of Elizabeth that we all have had the pleasure of watching since she was a little Age Grouper growing up in New England. New England Swimming honored the graduating seniors tonight during the opening ceremony of the Open Championships at Havard University.
