Alex Meyer (CRIMSON AQUATICS) qualifies for Olympic Team with fourth place finish at Worlds! USA Swimming National Team member Alex Meyer finished fourth today at the FINA 10K Open Water World Championship. Eva Fabian's big race day is Tuesday! She swim the 10K in the World Championships in China, and has to place in the top 10 to become a member of the USA Olympic Team. RELAY RECORD BREAKER The Shawmut Aquatic Club's 13-14 girls continue to dominate in relay performance. At the Florida Gainesville Speedo Sectionals on July 8-11th, the relay team of Sarah Bartholomae, Carly Adams, Molly Pierce and Abigail Benkert broke the 1991 NES Resident record in the 200 LCM Medley Relay event. Their time of 2:06.32 broke the Cape Ann YMCA record by 2 seconds! Congratulations, and a Record Breaker Cap to the Shawmut relay team!

MAY SWIMMER OF THE MONTH! This swimmer enjoys helping younger swimmers, especially the first timers, at swim meets. She shows them around and makes sure that the team has every single swimmer on the block at the right time. Shannon Fain, ofLRAC, is a great student and gives 100% at every practice. All swimmers intending to go to zones should register on the website (even if not qualified until after the deadline) and Pay by Check (we will hold your check until after qualified). If you pay by credit card and do not achieve qualifying times, you will be charged a processing fee to issue your refund. All swimmers must be registered with check and paperwork by the submitted deadlines (7/19 for 14U and 7/25 for 15O), even if without 2 qualifying times achieved yet.
