WAVE FAMILY EXPERIENCES, TESTIMONIALS & REVIEWS

Our daughter joined Wave Swim Club when she was just 8-years-old in 2017, and what a journey it has been. Over the years, we’ve seen many changes, but the heart of Wave has always remained the same - a family-oriented and uplifting environment that nurtures not just strong swimmers, but strong individuals.

The coaches and families have created a tight-knit community where every swimmer feels valued, no matter their skill level. We've watched our daughter grow not just in athletic ability, but in confidence, resilience, and teamwork - all shaped by the guidance and positive culture at Wave. We are incredibly grateful for the coaches, especially Coach Jace and the entire Wave community who have made this experience so meaningful for our daughter and for us.

As a parent of an 8-year-old autistic son, finding the right extracurricular activity where he could thrive socially and emotionally was a top priority for us. Joining WAVE Swim Club has been one of the best decisions we've made.

From the very beginning, the coaches (and other parents) welcomed him with patience, warmth, and genuine understanding. Their encouragement and structured approach helped him feel safe, supported, and included. Over time, not only did his swimming skills improve, but his confidence soared.

One of the most beautiful changes we've seen is how he’s made real friendships with his teammates. The club has created a nurturing environment where he feels he truly belongs. Competing in meets has given him a tremendous sense of accomplishment, and it's been amazing to see him so proud of himself.

We’re incredibly grateful for this community and the positive impact it's had on our son’s life.

When my five-year-old joined WAVE this year, I didn’t know what to expect. He was young, full of energy, and still learning the basics of freestyle and backstroke. From the very beginning, Coach Jace and her team welcomed him with open arms and it didn’t take long before WAVE started to feel like a second family.

This year, I’ve watched my son grow - not just in the pool, but as a person. The coaches nurtured his love for swimming with patience, encouragement, along with the right amount of challenge and discipline. They’ve instilled in him the values of hard work and sportsmanship but most importantly, he’s found a true sense of belonging. Whether he’s cheering on teammates, laughing on deck, or pushing through practices, WAVE has become a place where he feels valued, supported, and at home.

What he absolutely admires the most is looking up to the young coaches. Especially Cayden and Evan. To him, they’re not just coaches, they’re his heroes and to him, his best friends. He has a great time with them, responds so well to their guidance, and works hard because he wants to be just like them. They’ve played such a powerful role in building his confidence, both in and out of the water.

I’m so thankful for everything WAVE has given my son and all the swimmers. If you’re looking for a swim team that’s about more than just swimming - this is the one.

First and foremost, what an incredibly kind, inclusive, and dedicated group of swimmers, coaches and support staff - especially the parents. As a parent with swimmers at different stages and ages, I've been so impressed with how each child receives personalized attention, the right level of challenge, and the encouragement they need to grow.

Communication from the organizers is always clear and timely. If you ever feel uncertain or have a question, there's always someone ready to help. Buffalo is truly lucky to have this swim club - and Coach Jace. Her leadership is creating something special here.
