We encourage all swimmers to attend practice on a regular basis or as frequently as they can.  We realize given family time commitments, as well as other opportunities for personal enrichment outside the pool setting can sometimes make practices hard to get to, but there is a direct correlation between practice and personal achievement.

We realize that all students in the community get out of school at different times of the day and therefore, may miss the first part of practice. To ensure the safety and success of your swimmer, they must arrive and be ready to swim as quickly as possible. Most schools allow for swimmers to be on deck and in the pool by 3:45p. Unless approved ahead of time with the coach, swimmers that are not in the water before 4pm will not be allowed to swim that day’s practice. We run practices based on numbers of kids per lane and there is rarely a time that we have an open lane that a late swimmer can jump into to do a late warm-up. Swimmers who arrive late usually miss out on their warm-up time. This is a valuable part of practice, so please encourage them to eat their pack their snacks ahead of time in their book bags, eat their snacks on the way to the pool so they will be ready to jump in and get the full benefit of warming up.
