Orinda Aquatics had several swimmers and alumns competing in Omaha at the 2012 Olympic Swimming Trials. They kicked off on Day One with the Men's 400 Individual Medley. Seeded in heat 2 of 12, Steven Stumph dropped almost two seconds from his seed time, finishing in 4:28.33 for 48th place. Steven also swam the 100 breast later that afternoon (1:04.46). Way to go Steven! Orinda Aquatic Alum, Kim Vandenberg competed at the Olympic Trials for her third time. On Monday, she finished 14th overall in the 100 fly seminfinals (59.24)....

OA Swimmer Megan Liang earned three Emerging Cut times at the 2012 Paralympics held this past weekend in Bismarck, North Dakota. Megan swam to a 5th place finish in the 400 free (5:30.18 - Emerging Cut), 5th place in the 100 back (1:26.81), 6th place in the 50 free (34.10 - Emerging Cut, prelim time of 33.87) and 6th place in the 100 free (1:14.21). Her 100 free preliminary time (1:13.76) qualified as an Emerging cut. Four events and four personal bests! Way to go Megan!

What a Weekend of Swimming: - The High School Season ended with a bang for Orinda Aquatics Swimmers at NCS and Walk-on meets. OA had 47 swimmers representing 9 different high schools swim at NCS.
