2022 MET-SEAL CANNONBALL CLASSIC On the weekend of June 11th-12th, IST athletes and coaches traveled to the King County Aquatic Center for the 2022 Cannonball Classic. This competition was ISTs third meet of the 2022 LC season and our second competition at KCAC this Summer. IST was well-represented at this competition with 147 athletes attending! MARIN MORRISON MEMORIAL MEET Coach Carter and 14 of our Steelhead A and B group swimmers traveled to the Hazen Aquatic Center for the Marin Morrison Memorial Meet on Sunday, April 24th. This meet was established to memorialize former US Paralympian Marin Morrisson. Marin lived in Washington and attended the 2008 Paralympic games. Congratulations to ANDREW NGUYEN (Senior 3) on his new team records achieved at the 2021 IST June Invite held at the Snohomish Aquatic Center. Andrew set a new benchmark in the 13-14 Boys 100Y Backstroke with a time of 55.15, improving upon the old record of 55.17 previously held by Ivan Graham from 2015. IST is proud to announce that CHARLES LEE was invited to participate in this year's USA Swimming Western Zone Select Peformance Workshop. The workshop is being held in lieu of the traditional training camp due to COVID-19. Zone select camps bring the top swimmers in each zone together for a unique motivational experience. Selection is done automatically using the SWIMS times database. Each zone's camp traditionally consists of 34 athletes from each competing category.
