Spring Age Group Championships March 14-17 The 2024 edition of Spring Age Group Championships made its way back to the RBAC, in which 66 of our athletes competed. At last year’s meet we had 43 athletes attend – roughly a 53% increase in qualified athletes compared to last year. Our team continues to grow and reach new heights! Hello Rose Bowl Families! Last month we hosted the annual Pacific Committee Champs and Pacific Committee Finale Meets, in which 301 of our athletes competed. It was a massive undertaking to run two championship meets sandwiched between each other, but thanks to the collective efforts of admin, parent volunteers, swimmer volunteers, coaches, and of course, the swimmers themselves, the weekend turned out to be a huge success for our team. Good Afternoon Rose Bowl Families, A few weeks ago we competed at the 2023 Winter Age Group Championships in San Clemente, and the meet turned out to be a huge success! This year we saw a total of 140 swimmers competing for Rose Bowl, which is a 52% increase from the previous year! Very impressive numbers indeed! 14&Under SCS Spring Age Group Champs March 16-19 The 2023 edition of Southern California Swimming’s premier Age Group Championships made its return to the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center this year and the meet proved to be very successful. 2023 Spring Speedo Sectionals March 1-5 We had 50 Rose Bowl athletes make the trip to Carlsbad for the 2023 Speedo Spring Sectionals. This was our largest team ever at this meet and we used our strength in numbers to our advantage. Our team stepped up and was very successful. 2023 Pacific Committee Finale March 4 The Pacific Committee Finale meet provided an opportunity for many of our athletes to close out the Short Course season with a championship meet. Many of our Rose Bowl athletes achieved lifetime best times and it was a wonderful ending to the season before we transition to the Long Course season. Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) Lunar Festival February 17-20 The AAPI Lunar Festival held at the Marguerite Recreation Center in Mission Viejo offered a prelims-finals meet opportunity before our Age Group swimmers headed into Spring Championship meets.
