It rained most of the weekend but Stamford Lions Swim Team were not afraid of getting wet! There were 102 swimmers entered in the Championship which took place at Lincoln pool on Friday 13th & Saturday 14th December. Stamford American were delighted to see some hard work pay off over the weekend at ACSIS Middle School meet. The meet was hosted by Nexus International School and saw 15 different schools from all over Singapore take part. In a team format, points were awarded for athletes finishing within the top 8 in their age group and a bonus point if they came first. Stamford American International School were in action at the Singapore National Short Course Champs held at Singapore Sports School over the 25m laps. The 2 day meet saw athletes, schools and clubs from around the around Singapore come together to race on the 16th & 17th November in numerous different strokes and distances. Stamford American International School

Stamford American International School were delighted to host ACSIS High School Swim Championships on Saturday 9th November at the Lincoln Pool. It was the biggest swim meet Stamford have yet to host with over 350 swimmers attending from 13 international schools across Singapore. The format of the team competition allows for a maximum of 40 swimmers per school, 20 boys and 20 girls. Points are scored from the top 16 places within each event, with relays scoring double points. Around 14 schools will descend upon SAIS Lincoln pool on Saturday 9th November as international school teams from around Singapore will battle it out for the honour of being named ACSIS Champion. Points are awarded for finishing in the top 16 of races. Come and support your Stamford Lions and make sure everyone can hear your #ROAR Poolside will be reserved for swimmers. We had 13 swimmers join us for our Performance & Development Camps over the Fall break. Whilst school was not in session, many of our swimmers chose to take the opportunity to further themselves. TeamUnify

Stamford Lions Swim was in action on Saturday 5th October at the OCBC Aquatic Centre in Singapore. The competition, known as the Merlion Sprint Festival, was held over the long course format (50m) and saw athletes from many of the international schools around Singapore attend. Stamford American took 46 athletes that had entered 170 individual races amongst them. The team was quite evenly made up of 93 female entries and 77 male entries showing some strong promise early in the season. The team delivered a whopping 109 PBs (personal bests)...
