The Coto Coyotes opened today's June Age Group (JAG) Championship Meet at the Splash Aquatic Center in La Mirada with a strong start. Top performances included Paige Pratt who swam to consols in the 200 free and also medaled in the 800 free with a 6th place finish. Kellie Fecarotta earned 16th in the 200 free, and 12th in the 200IM while Max Walsh raced to a top 16 finish in his 200 backstroke. Our Coto Coyotes have done it again with a first place finish at the Memorial Day Invitational in Thousand Oaks. The 12 and under Coyotes set the stage on Sunday for an all out showdown by giving the older Coyotes a 300 point lead. With several spectacular swims the 13 and up Coyotes dug down deep holding off Buenaventura for the win even though they had significantly more swimmers. Our Coyotes have been battling for first place so far this weekend at the Memorial Day Travel Meet and are succeeding! After Saturday afternoons session the Coyotes hold a 130 point lead over the second place team. Tomorrow will be a tough day of competition so wish all our Coyotes good luck!!! Go Coyotes!

Our very own Coach Todd Conrad was selected Boys 17-18 Head Coach for the North American Challenge Cup (NACC) All Star Meet August 4-6, 2011. After missing his sectional cut in the 100 Free by .05 at league finals two weeks ago, Max Walsh has been on a mission. In a testament of resiliency, Max swam the 100 Free at CIF and then twice Saturday at the MVN Invite but missing the cut by as close as .01. In an amazing display of power and finesse, Brandon Boval earns his first ever NCSA Junior National Time in the 200 Medley with a team record 1:55.32.
