SafeSport Course Help
The APT Courses (Core and Refreshers 1, 2, & 3) are now available through the Education hub in your new USA Swimming account.
Athlete Protection Courses: You will find the APT courses in the “All Courses” tab.
Once you complete your courses, please allow an hour for the result to appear in your member card. Please see attached instructions to download a Certificate from the U.S. Center for SafeSport.
- For ID requests please first reach out to your club.
- For requests about certifications other than APT and Background, please reach out to your club or LSC Registrar.
For new parents/members looking to create their USA swimming Login - How do I create a Parent account if I am not an Athlete or Official?
For existing members looking to create their USA swimming Login - How do I set up my new SWIMS account if I already have a membership?
In order to REGISTER or RENEW a membership, you must first have the OMR (online member registration) link from you club. After you click that:

- To renew and existing family member - How do I renew my child's Membership?
Troubleshooting If you are not seeing the APT, Background Check or CANRA under my courses, please submit a help desk ticket. Additionally, if you have taken a course and it has been 48 hours with no update, then you can submit a helpdesk ticket. Click on Help at the top right of the screen. Select, “Submit a Help Ticket.” Fill out the form.
