Senior Seattle Open Meet Recap Wave swimmers showed up at the 103rd Annual Seattle Senior Open and turned in some truly amazing swims. The hard work the entire Senior Team (High School, Senior 1, Senior Epic) has been putting in really paid off. There were six WAVE swimmers, five qualifiers and one alternate, selected to represent Pacific Northwest Swimming at the Age Group Zones meet in August. Selection to this team is a very big deal as this is the highest level of Age Group swimming. Swimmers first have to qualify for the meet then they must submit an application to be selected to the team. Montana Firecracker Invitational Meet Recap For the third year in a row, Wave won this big invitational that features swimmers from several states! 96 swimmers and 3 coaches from Wave arrived at Splash Montana in Missoula, Montana with two common goals: swim fast and defend our title. SRST Summer Invitational Meet Recap Wave sent a large contingent to of swimmers from Sport and Select Teams to Snohomish for three days of fast racing. VAST Sprint/Distance Invitational Meet Recap Wave's Select Team had an impressive performance at VAST’s Sprint/Distance Invitational held at the King County Aquatic Center. This was a unique meet with all the sprint events on Saturday while on Sunday were three events followed by Time Trials. The meet saw numerous personal bests, Champs cuts, and new US Motivational Times achieved by our swimmers. The 18&Under Spring Cup is a new meet created by USA Swimming this year to offer swimmers one more opportunity to swim a prelims/finals LCM meet in a very competitive Olympic year. This meet was hosted in three different sites and our team went to Mesa, Arizona. Wave had five swimmers qualified for the Spring Cup and was represented by three of them last weekend.
