MMSC November Invitational Wave’s AG1, AG2 and Senior Prep swimmers journeyed up to Marysville for the first meet with relays to test US Swimming’s new motivational relay times and wow did our relay teams impress, including two AAAA times! Sport Team & Seniors Test Out New Meet Format For the 2024-25 Short Course Swim Season, USA Swimming created a Pilot Program called Block Party Swim Meets. Wave Aquatics was selected to be a member of the program. This is an exciting way to make hosting meets for novice athletes easier and promote more competitions for athletes. We are excited to announce that Wave swimmer Daniel Xia has been selected as a 2023-2024 USA Swimming Scholastic All-American. USA Swimming recognizes swimmers who have achieved at least one Winter Junior Nationals qualifying time as well as maintaining a minimun GPA of 3.5 for the 2023-2024 academic year. Daniel swims in the Senior Epic group and works very hard both in the pool and in the classroom. We are very happy to have one of our swimmers achieve this amazing recognition. Way to go Daniel. Wave Rocktober Open Meet Recap Wave’s Sport Team kicked off the new season with a great weekend of swimming while the Select Team joined in, swimming just one day. SSCD Autumn Open Meet Recap The Select Team kicked off the new season with a great weekend of swimming. We had time drops all weekend long and the athletes left the meet with new best times, new cuts, and a good feeling for where they are starting the season. Western Senior Zone Championships Meet Recap Western Zone Senior Championships was Wave’s final meet of the 2023-24 season, and we finished the year with yet another strong performance. PNS Age Group Championships Meet Recap Wave had one of our best performances at PNS Age Group Champs in the past 30 years, scoring 4th place (out of about 40 teams) and just 5 points from 3rd. Summer Junior Nationals Meet Recap Wave was represented by one swimmer, Jaiden Sreenivasan, at the Summer Junior Nationals in Irvine, California from July 23-27. PNS Senior Championships Meet Recap The Wave Senior Team (High School, Senior 1, and Senior Epic) kicked off the Championship Meet season with an absolute bang.
