DFAC NEWS 2022-02-21 from Coach Tammy
Congratulations to all of our swimmers for an excellent showing at Regionals!
The teamwork and sportsmanship on display by DFAC were impressive and made me proud. Our older swimmers looked after the younger ones, the kids worked to make new swimmers feel welcome, there was a lot cheering at the end of the lanelines, and swimmers stayed or came back to count for a teammate or cheer them on in a time trial. We are a swim family=
Thank you, parents, for looking after the all of the kids, and trusting in the swimmers and coaches to help them through the meet.
Carter O’Leary earned a High Point award, and we will be sending Dmitriy to 12&U State and Payton to 13&O State! We had some exceptionally close state cut times and swimmers who were brave enough to give it an extra try in time trials. In a normal year, more of our swimmers would have met these qualifying times, but injuries, Covid, and a late start to our season presented challenges. That said, we were incredibly pleased with the improvements of our swimmers in technique and endurance.
At the end of meets, I ask our swimmers if they worked hard and had fun. We should all be proud that they understand the importance of both of those things.

- Gold, PF/SR- Practice continues through Wed, March 2nd. Time adjustments for state swimmers will be communicated directly to those families, and any other adjustments will be announced once finalized.
Next Session- details will be coming soon, but we anticipate a start date of April 4th.
Starts and Turns Clinic- we hope to schedule a clinic for all swimmers for a few days in March.
