Next Session- schedule to be posted soon
We are fortunate to train in a new and well-designed facility. As a community group that feeds into
the high school teams, we are offered space for training and we keep the pool occupied.
We are, however, limited in time and space due to high school teams and other community needs. As the high school season is finished, we are presented with some opportunities. So, there will be changes to our practice times for the spring session in order to meet a few objectives:
1. Allow for growth in our team numbers.
2. Increase training times in swim, dryland or both for all of our groups.
3. Provide a sufficient number of lanes to meet training needs particularly for Gold and PF/SR.
Move-ups
For both safety and swimmer success, we look at each swimmer’s readiness for the next level. Ability, age, social group, maturity, goals, and more are kept in mind when our coaches discuss placement. When moving up a group, there are significant training changes involving increased responsibility, skill level, training times, and yardage. Some moves are much harder than others, and each session the groups will have a slightly different feel due to its members. Please know that we give this considerable thought and discussion. Our coaches are looking out for the best interest of all swimmers. Moving up to a higher level is exciting, but it is far more important for each swimmer to feel that they can keep up with the workout and be comfortable in the group. We will notify you
