DFAC HAPPENINGS 07/15/2022

• FALL SCHEDULE (TENTATIVE)
  • Below is the TENTATIVE fall schedule as we are still in search of a coach (Fall session will begin Monday, September 12^th).

• NEW SWIMMER PLACEMENT
  • Our swimmer placement for new DFAC swimmers is around the corner.  Placement will be Monday, July 25^th and Monday, July 26^th @ 6:00pm.  If you know anyone interested in joining, please let them know they can sign up on the website!  Currently we have 13 potential new team members!
     
• IRONMAN GRANT OPPORTUNITY
  • DFAC has an opportunity to earn a $500 grant for the team by volunteering at this year’s Ironman 70.3 on Saturday, September 11^th.  We have done in prior years and the swimmers had a blast.  More details to come but this will be listed as an event in TeamUnify similar to the 4^th of July parade where if interested, you will ‘commit’.  Expected hours is 10am-4pm and a minimum number of volunteers must be met (we believe it is 10 but are working on confirming) to qualify for the grant.  We will also need a swim parent to be the point person if we go forward.  As the details come in, a separate email will be sent out.
     
• VICE PRESIDENT VACANCY
  • There is an opening for the vice president position on the DFAC board of directors.  If interested in learning more about the position, please reach out to Jenny Touchet ([email protected])
     
• SAFE SPORT CLUB RECOGNITION
  • REMINDER-Deadline IS approaching to complete Safe Sport Training (August 1^st).  An email went out to parents of swimmers ages 12 and up discussing training requirements on June 20^th, 2022.  Please have training completed and information forwarded to Jenny by August 1^st.  If you have any questions, reach out to Jenny Touchet ([email protected])
