- FALL SCHEDULE
- Fall schedule is finalized and now the board of directors is working on coming up with fees for each group. We are hoping to have registration for returning families open by Friday, August 10th. Start date for new swimmers with be Monday, September 12th. We also plan on having Simply Swimming on site that night at the pool for suit fittings and various items for sale. Start date for returning swimmers will be Wednesday, September 14th (there is high school meet at pool that Tuesday). Session will run through November 23rd.

- Hopefully you are all aware but DFAC Swimming does have a facebook page. We are clearing out the storage areas and have been posting items for sale on the page that have been donated. If you have items you would like to donate, please follow up with Jenny Touchet ([email protected]). All sales go back to the club.

- SAFE SPORT CLUB RECOGNITION
- AUGUST IS HERE. Our goal, as a team, is to become a ‘Safe Sport recognized’ club by USA Swimming this month. In order to do this, certain requirements must be met. Some of which include learning exercises for our 12 & up swim parents and athletes. Information to complete was previously sent out and is available on the website under ‘Safe Sport’ when logged in. Please have training completed and information forwarded to Jenny by August 1st. If you have any questions, reach out to Jenny Touchet ([email protected])

- IRONMAN GRANT OPPORTUNITY
- DFAC has an opportunity to earn a $500 grant for the team by volunteering at this year’s Ironman 70.3 on Saturday, September 11th. We have done in prior years and the swimmers had a blast. An event has been created listed in TeamUnify. Similar to the 4th of July parade, if you are interested, please go in to the system and ‘rsvp’. PLEASE NOTE HOW MANY IN THE FAMILY WILL BE VOLUNTEERING. Hours is 10am-4pm and a minimum number of 10 volunteers must be met to qualify for the grant. We will need a swim parent to be the point person if we have enough volunteers. If interested in learning more about being the point person, please reach out to Ashly Miller ([email protected])
