DFAC Happenings is a weekly newsletter emailed out every Friday(ish) that is also posted at the bottom of our website's home page. The intent is to be a summary of current DFAC events.
FALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN
PLEASE REGISTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!! Registration is open until start of session OR until the group is full. Dolphin and sailfish groups WILL fill up this session. We currently have 12 families on the wait list for a placement session and will schedule a placement at the end of this month if there are still openings.
If you are registering more than one child, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO REGISTER THEM TOGETHER TO GET THE MULTI FAMILY DISCOUNT.
Please make sure your swimmers t shirt size is accurate
For returning swimmers, we will hold off on processing registration if your swimmer is age 12 and over and you or they have yet to complete the Safe Sport training.
UPCOMING DATES
A tentative Fall/Winter Meet schedule can be found on the DFAC website
September 12th will be start of fall season for new swimmers. This will also be new parent night where board will introduce themselves as well as the club. Simply Swimming will be on-site with merchandise and suit fittings
September 13th will be first day for Dolphins
September 14th will be first day for remaining groups (due to a 6:00 HS swim meet Sept 13th)
September 15th DFAC night at Rocky Rococo’s in Sun Prairie from 4pm-9pm. A % of sales will come back to the club
DFAC non swim apparel will be through Trending Now Promotions with a lot of cool options this year! The online store has plans to be open Sept 11th-Sept 25th
Simply Swimming ‘DFAC online store’ also has plans to be open Sept 11th-Sept 25th. We have partnered with TYR this year. The team will receive a certificate in the amount of 10% of TYR sales for the previous year that can be used towards coaches’ gear and items for the swim team.
The board has begun the planning of a silent auction for October with planned end date of October 22nd (our home swim meet date, which is mandatory for all DFAC swimmers).
