SIMPLY SWIMMING DFAC STORE
Simply Swimming ‘DFAC online store’ will be open Sept 11th-Sept 21st (Previously reported as Sept 25th). We have partnered with TYR this year. The team will receive a certificate in the amount of 10% of TYR sales for the previous year that can be used towards coaches’ gear and items for the swim team.
We still have new and donated & new swim apparel for sale on our facebook page. The post is pinned to the top of the page. If interested in any of the items (or donating gently used items to the club), reach out to Jenny ([email protected])
FAMILY FOLDERS
There are quite a few families who have items in their swimmers’ family folder. As a reminder, all families have a folder in the life guard office. It is against the poolside wall. Items ordered, ribbons, certificates, etc will be placed in folder so please make sure to check occasionally.
UPCOMING MEETS
The STAR Fall 2022 Shooting STAR Classic in Stoughton will be our first meet this fall on Saturday, October 8th. An email was sent out previously regarding registering for the meet. DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS 9/30.
Our home meet is Saturday October 22nd. THIS IS A REQUIRED MEET FOR ALL SWIMMERS. Registration and Volunteer requirement details are to come soon.
The VAST Trick or Treat meet in Verona is October 29th & 30th. WE STILL ARE UNSURE IF WE WILL ATTEND THIS MEET. IT WILL DEPEND ON COACHING AVAILABILITY AND NUMBER OF SWIMMERS INTERESTED. An email was sent out previously regarding registering for the meet. DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS 10/8.
DFAC COVID PROTOCOL
If your swimmer is positive for COVID, please report this to Jenny ([email protected]). The club does follow the school district protocol. Your swimmer will not be able to swim the 10 days after first symptomatic (or date of positive test if asymptomatic. Days 1-5 they should quarantine. Day 6-10 they should mask (which can not be done in a pool).
It is recommended (but not required), they mask for 10 days if they are identified as close contact to some one positive.
SILENT AUCTION
The board has begun the planning of a silent auction for October with planned end date of October 22nd (our fall home swim meet date). We are excited about the number of items already brought in. If you are able to provide a donation, please contact Mandy ([email protected])
