- POOL CLOSURE
- Thank you to all members with their patience around the pool closure. We are hopeful that work being done over the week will allow the pool to open Monday!!! Once we are informed, we will let you know. The board will discuss at our next meeting how to address the missed time.

- UPCOMING MEET REGISTRATIONS
- Our home meet is Saturday October 22nd. THIS IS A REQUIRED MEET FOR ALL SWIMMERS
- Undeclared swimmers: An email was sent out earlier this week to parents who have yet to declare their swimmers, please do as soon as able
- Volunteering at meet: An email was also sent out earlier this week from Katerina on volunteer sign up. All swim families must have one volunteer per swimmer (even if your child is not participating in the meet) or pay the $100 volunteer fee. If you cannot meet this volunteer requirement, feel free to work with other families/friends/neighbors to fill the spot, it does NOT have to be a swim parent. If you have further questions on volunteering, please reach out to Katerina ([email protected])
- The VAST Trick or Treat meet in Verona is October 29th & 30th. WE WILL BE PARTICIPATING ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30TH ONLY. Official deadline to register is 10/8 but since we are limiting it to only one day we have closed registration behind the scenes. If you are interested in registering your swimmer for Sunday (and have yet to do so), please reach out to Jenny ([email protected]).

- Our first away meet is coming up on Saturday, October 8th in Stoughton. We have 32 swimmers representing DFAC!! If you have questions about the meet, please feel to reach out to any coach or board member. If this is your swimmers first meet, please take a look at information regarding meets found under ‘Meets/Events’ on DFAC website. There will also be plenty of veteran parents at the meets that are more than willing to help.

- UW BADGER CONCESSION FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY
- The UW Badger football team has a need for volunteers to run concessions at upcoming home games at Camp Randall. There are open stands needing anywhere between 4-18 people. Ranges in commissions are typically from $500-$1500 per event for all stands. There is a $50 per person minimum for events, but commissions with be WELL OVER that amount. Commission is 10% of net sales (minus sales tax); our total commission earned would depend on the size of stand. Groups will also have the ability to take tips, which is new in the 2022-2023 season!!
- Volunteers must be 16 years or older to work…NO EXCEPTIONS. Volunteers under 18 years old must have a release form signed which will be provided.
- Events have been created in Team Unify for games on October 22nd, November 5th, and November 26th. IF interested please sign up and list number of volunteers in the notes. PLEASE SIGN UP BY OCTOBER 7TH TO ALLOW US TIME TO SIGN UP.
- October 22nd is a mandatory home meet. UW Badger game is at 2:30 pm. Sessions 1 & 2 of home meet should be done by 1:30 in case there are those interested in volunteering after meet or aren’t swimming this session and able to volunteer.

- More information coming soon but we are planning on our silent auction running 10/8-10/22 (date of our home meet). It will be run through our Facebook site and open to the public so feel free to share with family and friends!!! Listed below are companies that donated.
