Monster Splash Kudos

Tammy Tollefson Meixner
A big thank you to all of our swim family for hosting a great Monster Splash. We had compliments from our guests on the helpfulness and hospitality of our team. Our more experienced swimmers were especially helpful to their younger teammates and did countless errands for coaches and the others- we saw you and appreciate your hard work! And, so many of you stepped in where needed beyond your volunteer assignment. I hope you all had a good time.  It's a long day for our coaches, too, but we had a blast.

When you see them, please extend a special thank you to meet director Stacie Wagner, tech support director Don Deutscher, and president Jenny Touchet who handled all of the challenges of organizing a meet, running a meet and keeping the systems operating.  Their expertise and time commitment make for a smooth meet for the rest of us.  Thank you to all of our board members who put in extra time for our home meets and to the officiating team led by Rick Potter:) We are always looking for more officials, so let us know if you are interested in training- it helps our team while you gain knowledge about our sport and a spot on deck.

Once again we were very impressed with our swimmers' improvements from minor changes in stroke technique to qualifying times for championship meets.  We always see countless acts that make us proud-supporting teammates, congratulating competitors, stepping in to count for a competitor, cheering at the end of the lanes...

Please remember that we aim to follow a swimmers swim, parents parent, and coaches coach philosophy.  We ask your kids if they worked hard  and if they had fun.  The coaches know what we are working on, what improvements we want to see, what the priorities are for success, what we will be working on next individually and as a team.  Enjoy watching your kids- leave the coaching to us:)

See you soon,
Coach Tammy
