  • COACH ADRIENNE
    • We are excited to announce Coach Adrienne will be joining the team for fall session!!!  She is the head coach for the Portage Piranhas so she will be working with us when the Piranhas are not in session.  Coach Adrienne will be on deck Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  Message from Adrienne:

Hello DFAC! I am honored to start coaching for such an amazing organization. I started swimming competitively at the age of ten for the Baraboo Riptides, and never looked back.  I have been involved in aquatics for over twenty years. Lifeguarding, instructing, and teaching, but my real passion is in coaching. I have been the head coach of the Portage Piranhas swim team for the past six years. Last year we broke forty-nine pool records, and we competed in our first ever conference where we won eighteen gold medals. I was also the 2022 all area high school swim coach of the year. I take pride in helping to not only raise the next generation of great swimmers but ensuring that they are also good people. I cannot wait to meet the kids! Thank you for this opportunity.  
 

  • POOL CLOSED
    • For our swimmers doing open swim during off season, the pool is closed August 28th-September 4th along with September 7th.
       
  • FALL SESSION REGISTRATION
    • Registration is now open for both returning & new swimmers.  WELCOME TO OUR 16 NEW MEMBERS!!!!
    • Once again, USA Swimming has changed how to register for their annual fee.
      • RETURNING SWIMMERS-The club CAN/WILL pay the fee for you (Historically, the club had been required to do so).  When you register for Fall, register as a RETURNING SWIMMER and the club charges you the $88 USA Swimming Fee and will then register your swimmer with USA Swimming.  This registration will be good for 2024. 
        • YOU HAVE THE CHOICE TO NOT PAY THROUGH THE CLUB.  IF YOU CHOOSE TO NOT PAY THROUGH THE CLUB, YOU CAN REGISTER FOR FALL UNDER ‘NEW SWIMMER’.  IT WILL THEN BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO REGISTER YOUR SWIMMER ON YOUR OWN.  THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON DECK 1/1/24 IF NOT REGISTERED.
      • NEW SWIMMERS-We are unable to pay for new swimmers USA Swimming Fee.  You will have to do so through USA swimming for the annual required fee.  You will receive an email from Beth, Registrar, on how to do so after you register your swimmer for fall session.
         
  • FALL SESSION DATES IMPORTANT DATES
    • Monday, September 11th
      • 5:00-6:00 New Swimmer Orientation.  ALL new swimmers will meet 5:00-6:00 to learn more about the pool and DFAC.  They should come ready to swim.
      • 5:15-6:00 New Swim Parent Meeting.  Board members will hold a new parent meeting to talk more about the club. 
      • 5:00-6:30 SIMPLY SWIMMING WILL BE ON SITE FOR SUIT FITTINGS AND POP UP STORE FOR ALL OF THE TEAM
    • Tuesday, September 12th -Regular Fall Session begins
    • Saturday, October 21st- DFAC Home Meet.  All swimmers required to participate
    • High School Girls Swim season.  On girls’ home meet days (9/19, 10/10, 10/17), Dolphins will practice 4:00-5:00 while remaining groups will NOT practice
    • November 22 through 24-No practice.  Thanksgiving Break.
    • Saturday, December 2nd-BAC Swim meet.  Last day of Fall Session
       
  • FUNDRAISING
    • DFAC Families – We need your help!  The club has set a goal to raise $10,000 during the 2023-2024 Swim Season.  In order to accomplish this goal, we need everyone’s help to gain sponsorships and donations for our upcoming silent auction in October.  Our session fees only cover the cost to rent the pool and pay our coaches.  Our fundraising goes towards travel costs for coaches for meets, club registration, team shirts, club activities, etc.
      • The Silent Auction will open on Saturday, October 14th and end on Saturday, October 21st (home swim meet).  Please reach out to any connections you or your family might have with businesses, corporations, family, friends, etc. Anything helps support the club and keep our cost down for swimmers and families.  A flyer for the silent auction is attached along with the clubs updated sponsorship information.  Any questions can be directed to Mandy [email protected]
