Making finals meant coming back later in the evening and swimming the event again.  Many Marlins made the finals and came back to swim even faster in the finals and earn themselves a ribbon or medal.  Maggie Delaney, Madie Elsner, Kara Libra, Nataniel Ludwig, Jonathan & Rebekah Pusateri, Mieko Scwartzmiller, and Ben Veazey all made finals in all 6 of their events, with a total of 12 victories between them.  other Marlins making finals included: Alexis Bennet, Isabella Bennett, Lauren Carson, Alyssa Christensen, Josh Christos, Nicole Christos, Hoylynn Hau, Jetlynn...

Erik Anderson led the way with wins in the 50 & 100 free, 100 & 200 IM, and the 100 back.  Jeffrey Lozensky won 2 events the 200 & 500 free as did Bindi Pedersen winning the 200 IM and 200 breast.  Solo winners included: Melody Coleman & Gabby Marlatt-100 IM, Maggie Delaney-200 fly, Karlie Rimat-100 back, and Leah Taylor-200 IM.  Marlins with top 8 finishes scoring points for the Marlins included: Caitlyn and Chris Anderson, Madelynn Butler, Josh Christos, Madie Elsner, Nathaniel Goldor, Katie Hammer, Emily Jacobson, Kara Libra,...

Chris Anderson won 2 events and added the 200 fly to his PNS Champs Meet Events at the Q-Meet in Federal Way.  Anna Veazey also added a PNS Champs time in the 50 back taking 3rd.  Other top 6 swims included Erik Anderson winning the 100 fly, Elle Lee 2nd in the 100 fly, Matt Owen 3rd in the 500 free, Nathaniel Goldor 4th in the 200 back, Madie Elsner 5th in the 500 free, Jonathan Pusateri 6th in the 200 breast, and Caitlyn Anderson 6th in the 50 and...

Several Marlins dropped tons of time at the Storm Distace Meet.  Maggie Delaney led the way with a 1 minute time drop in the 1650 free and a nearly 2 minute drop in the 1000 free.  Leah Taylor dropped 45 seconds in the 1650 to qualify for PNS Champs, and Abby Magee had a 12 second drop in the 1000.  Josh Christos had a fast 1000 free of 11:19.02 in his first swim of that distance ever.

Trying to keep track of all the Mighty Marlins swimming at Girls District Meets this weekend proved to be quite a task!  However, it was spectacular to see all their hard work pay off with such great success. For Lake Stevens at the 4A District meet Emily Jacobson had 2 top 6 finishes, Kara Libra had 2 top 12 finishes, Parker Reid was top 18 in 2 events, and Amanda Pan was top 18 in 1.  Emily and Kara are off to state as part of the high flying 200...

The 2014 Pacific Coast All Star Meet will be hosted by Pacific Northwest Swimming January 4-5, 2014 in Olympia at the Evergreen State College Pool. Athlete Applications as well as Athlete Selection Criteria are posted to the PNS website under SWIMMERS > Age Group Swimming dropdown box.  

With nearly 100 competitors in each age group 7 Mighty Marlins came away with top 6 trophies in the Chinook Pentathlon.  Trophies were awarded for overall placing  in the 5 events that swimmers competed in.  Jetlynn Hau and Jeffrey Lozensky each won their age group.  Maggie Delaney, Erik Anderson and Madie Elsner took 2nd in their age groups, and Madelynn Butler was 4th, and Chris Anderson 6th!  Others swam very well at the meet: Kaylee Mackey had 4 best times, Mieko Schwartzmiller 3, Caitlyn Anderson 2, and Lawren Rainey 1.

The Mighty Marlins started the afternoon session with a bang as the senior boys relay of  Josh Christos, Kirby Schaufler, Nathaniel Goldor, and Tanner Desjardins easy defeated all other teams with an impressive 1:50.87 clocking.  In the afternoon several Marlins scored top 6 finishes.  Tanner won the 50 breast and was 2nd in the 100 free and 4th in the 50 fly.  Josh took 2nd in the 50 breast and 400 free and was 5th in the 50 fly.  Nathaniel took 5th in the 200 fly, Madie Elsner was 4th...
