The team did some really nice work this past weekend in Riverside and Santa Clarita. It was super hot in both destinations and the competition was too! BCS came away with a 6th place finish overall at Sectionals, not bad for only having 11 kids at the meet. Best times were achieved, new cuts were made and we were able to put together 4 relays that qualified for Junior Nationals on the Women’s side! Ryan Haddad - Ryan wrapped up his stint in CA with a very successful meet, grabbing...

Junior Olympics (July 21-24, 2022) Every heat was a “Hot Heat” in Riverside last weekend, whether you were referring to the quality of racing or the air temperature (not to mention a couple of nearby fires). Among the highlights: Anderson Bennett with his first Sectionals cut (200 Breast) Gabi Brito with her first Futures cut (50 Free) Meagan Gordon with her first Sectionals cut (50 Free) Peyton Kuo with his first Futures cut (50...

This may have been the most fun and well-run meet the Pacific Committee has ever offered and it is all thanks to you, BCS Family! The racing did not disappoint, either, yielding 17 new Summer JO cuts and a plethora of new best times and gutsy efforts. Overall, the team finished in 3rd (combined), with the Men in 2nd and the Women in 3rd. Congratulations,...

June Age Group Championships (June 17-20, 2022) Summer championship racing is underway! BCS finished in fourth place in the combined team competition at the June Age Group Championships, just 71.5 points from a podium finish and a reminder of the importance of relays (lost some valuable points there due to a few early takeoffs - learning moments!). Our Women placed third overall and the Men fifth. Speaking of relays, our 11-12 Girls team of Eryn Arnold, Gabi Brito, Meagan Gordon and Kayla Sun nearly rewrote the entire BCS 11-12 Girls...

Short Course Finale (March 5, 2022) Just learned a new word this morning: borasco - a sudden violent gust of wind, typically accompanied by rain, snow, or sleet. So that’s what it’s called! All that was missing on Saturday was the precipitation :-). We could not be more proud of our 70+ athletes (and their families) and the way they carried themselves throughout a challenging day of competition at the Short Course Finale meet in Torrance last weekend, especially our rookies! With the cold and blustery conditions on Saturday, it...
