Club Warriors concluded a jam-packed winter championship season last weekend at the 2023 Speedo Eastern Canadian Championships held in Windsor over 4 full days from March 16-19th. Ten of CW’s 15 qualifiers were among the more than 500 talented age group athletes from across Eastern Canada (and beyond) competing for top prize at this highly competitive event and they did us proud! Out of 29 total individual events, CW reached the podium 4 times to collect 2 Golds, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze, placed in the Top-10 ten times and...

Ontario Swimming Championships (OSC) are held twice annually; at the end of the winter season and again in July for summer. Given the exceptional talent in Ontario, qualification standards to be in this meet are very high, sometimes just under national standards. On March 2-5, the 2023 Winter Ontario Swimming Championships took place in Scarborough, Ontario. Club Warriors came away with many PBs and further qualifying times, ultimately placing 17th out of 64 teams in attendance. Congratulations to our 14 Warriors who attended this prestigious meet: Connor Brown, Cristian Ciorogariu,...

Despite the unfortunate timing this season, CW succeeded in making a splash at both these meets. More detailed meet reports and photos will be published in our March Newsletter by some of our volunteer meet reporters. Until then, here are some quick highlights of the...

Club Warriors kicked off the 2023 Winter Championship Season on February 16th on opening day of Ontario Youth-Junior Championships. Congratulations to all 15 swimmers from our Elite and Junior Elite teams who travelled to the Etobicoke Olympium to compete in this 18 & Under championship event. For many, the goal was to better their lifetime bests and, for some, to qualify for the upcoming provincial and national meets in March. We are happy to report that our Warriors did not disappoint. Assistant Head Coach, Connor Watson remarked, "It was an...

Over the next 4 weeks, provinces around the country will be winding down their 2022-23 Winter Season, hosting championship style competitions for all levels. Here in Ontario, CW will be participating in our Regional Championships, Ontario's Winter Festival, Ontario's Youth and Junior, Ontario's Age Group Championships and Eastern Canadian Championships. During this time, CW will have over 90 qualified swimmers participating in the various meets. It is a very busy time for the staff but also a very exciting time for us. We will see the "pay out" for all...

Club Warriors is proud to announce that one relay and two individual club records have fallen this season, so far. The latest came from our Boys LC 4x50-m Freestyle Relay team, Cristian Ciorogariu, Jack Lu, Andrei Ciorogariu, and Evan Hodson, who crushed a December 2019 club record on their way to winning Gold at the MAC Winter Invitational in January. This placed the team 4th fastest in Canada this season when they logged the time. At the Pointe-Claire team travel meet last December, Willow Coburn beat a decade-old Girls 15-17...
