This past weekend the Inconnu Swim club sent 9 swimmers to Edmonton, AB for the 50th anniversary of the J.P. Our hardworking Inconnu swimmers have returned home from their first swim meet of the 2024-2025 season. The Fast Track into Fall swim meet, hosted by the Grande Prairie Piranhas, hosted 5 other teams from AB and BC at the Eastlink Centre. 4 of our Inconnu Swimmers participated this past February 2-4 2024 in the Edmonton Open competition, which this year included former members of the Canadian Olympic team which brought the competition to a very high level. Ainsley Ross (14), Sienna Thorburn (13), Ryder Modde (14) and Kieran Rogers (14) together competed in a total of 24 events, improving 22 and making 3 finals! Inconnu Swim Club had a terrific kick off of the Long Course season, competing this past January 20-21st in Grande Prairie with 35 swimmers. An incredible 98% of personal Best were achieved, with plenty of the events resulting in amazing improvements, placing several races in the top 6. Overall our younger groups take the bigger shoutout of the weekend by presenting a much more solid learning of the turn and start skills, resulting in the lowest disqualified swims in over a year, with only 10 swims in the whole weekend....
