Three NE-RES records were broken at the USA Olympic Trials meet in Omaha: Kaitlin Harty, GMSC, broke Elizabeth Beisel's 13-14 100 Meter Backstroke record with a time of 1:01.99. In the quest for Olympic Trial cuts, several swimmers broke records at the NSSC meet at MIT this past weekend. The 100 LCM Backstroke was a popular event with three swimmers breaking the NE record. The 2011- 2012 Scholastic All-American application will be activated on June 1st on the USA Swimming website. This year, the entire process will be through online submissions (nothing will be mailed). Applicants will be required to upload their High School transcripts onto the special site that is collecting the information. At the 2012 NCSA Jr. National Championships this past weekend in Florida, The CRIMSON AQUATICS Boy's relay team of Jun Oh, Kevin Bradley, Joshua Beals and Liam Egan broke the 1993 record, in the NE-RES Boy's 15-18 800 Yard Free Relay, with a time of 6:40.77.
