The 2011- 2012 Scholastic All-American application will be activated on June 1st on the USA Swimming website. This year, the entire process will be through online submissions (nothing will be mailed). Applicants will be required to upload their High School transcripts onto the special site that is collecting the information. Please plan ahead with your High School guidance offices to secure an official transcript before the deadline of August 1st. READ HERE for information on the new process.

CONNAR (CJ) PATTERSON, of Exeter Swim Team, broke the 13-14 Boy's NE-RES record in the 100 LCM Fly at the EZ Speedo Championships in Buffalo, NY. His time of 59.54 betters the previous record set by James Allen of GMSC in 2011 by .13 seconds. Congratulations CJ!

RECORD BREAKER! At the 2012 NCSA Jr. National Championships this past weekend in Florida, The CRIMSON AQUATICS Boy's relay team of Jun Oh, Kevin Bradley, Joshua Beals and Liam Egan broke the 1993 record, in the NE-RES Boy's 15-18 800 Yard Free Relay, with a time of 6:40.77. The previous record was owned by the Mass Bay Marlin team of Kumakov, Hawkins, Eriksson and Craven (yes, the SAC Coach, Matt Craven)! Congratulations!!

February Swimmer of the Month This young swimmer is always in attendance at practice with a positive attitude and a smile, awaiting the next challenge. Cathleen Li is a tremendous student and a hard worker. She has been swimming with Bernal’s Gators since she was nine years old and always leads by example. Safety Poster Contest! USA Swimming is asking athletes to create a poster about safety in the pool (competition or training) or open water (competition or training) or dryland (training), the rest is up to their imagination. The objective of the Safety Poster Contest is to build awareness for safety in the competitive swimming environment.
