USA Swimming is asking athletes to create a poster about safety in the pool (competition or training) or open water (competition or training) or dryland (training), the rest is up to their imagination. The objective of the Safety Poster Contest is to build awareness for safety in the competitive swimming environment. Paul Getchell, the Head Coach of ANA for 10 years, and a present coach with Exeter Swim Team has passed away. Paul inspired many NE swimmers and is the reason many of them stayed in the sport. As a testament of his ability to inspire and make an impact on those around him, ANA names a swimmer each year with an award in Paul's honor, and now the Exeter Swim Team is going to as well. New England Seniors, held at the Boston University Pool on December 15-18, 2011 provided just the right amount of competition for three swimmers to break some NE and NE RES records: Kaitlyn Harty of GMSC set a record in the 13/14 Girl's 100 Backstroke with a time of 55.90.
