Approved Swimsuits for 2010 Effective 1/25/10 (1/25/2010) The USA Swimming House of Delegates, at its September 2009 meeting, adopted new rules regarding swimwear which limited swimsuits used for competitive purposes to those swimsuits which are in compliance with specifications established by FINA, the international governing body for the sport of swimming. On the last night of competition, at the Grand Prix in South Beach, California, the MAGNUS relay team of Rachel Moore, Margaret D'Innocenzo, Meaghan Grimes and Erica Belcher placed FIRST in the 800 Free Relay. Their time of 7:31.44 was enough to win the race by close to 2 seconds. Congratulations on an outstanding finish! Complete results can be found here.

DECEMBER Swimmer of the Month Benjamin Janoschek (HHS) Congratulations to Benjamin Janoschek, of the Hampshire Hills Seawolves, for being selected as New England Swimming’s December Swimmer of the Month. At only 12 years old, Ben has shown remarkable leadership whether it be at practice or at a meet. He is the first one in the water at practice and the last one to leave the pool deck (he even cleans up the pool deck without being asked). KEVIN BRADLEY: RECORD BREAKER Kevin Bradley from MAG broke the 13/14 boy's NE REC in the 200 fly at the GMSC BU meet, Jan. 8th, with a time of 1:54.49. This time broke the 1988 record of Ray Carey, BGSC. Kevin previously broke the 13/14 Boy's NE REC in the 400 IM at the New England Senior meet with a time of 4:08.12. This time broke the 2003 record of Corey Swanson. Kevin is having a great season! Congratulations!
