New rules for open water swimsuits At the FINA Bureau meeting held in Bangkok on January 14-15, 2010, revised rules were adopted for swimsuits used in open water competition. The Magnus Aquatic Club girls broke the 800 Free Relay NE RES record at the Speedo North Sectionals Championship Series. Maggie D'Innocenzo, Kendra Cheng, Erica Belcher and Rachel Moore finished in 7:24.31, which beats the ABF relay record set in 2008. Congratulations!

The recent charitable giving at the 13 & Over meet, held at MIT and hosted by NSSC, got the attention of the local press. USA Swimming has announced the 2010 clubs that have achieved the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for club excellence. Congratulations to the four New England Clubs that join the ranks of medal achievement: The Bluefish Swim Club repeated a Gold medal status and moved to 7th place from last year's 16th, and increased their point totals by 12,000 to a total of 32,406 points!
