PARENTS: YOUR ROLE IS CRITICAL TO YOUR SWIMMER'S SUCCESS!

Parents play an important role in helping to support their swimmers on their quest for competitive success. Along the way, the role of the parent changes dramatically as swimmers mature.

Most parents start at the same place:  helping their budding athletes learn to swim, encouraging their love of water, and teaching the importance of water safety. Then, parents celebrate the "firsts" of swimming: the first Age Group meet, the inevitable first DQ, the first championship meet. Finally, swim parents take a step back as their (nearly) independent young adults begin to take charge of their own swimming plans and goals. It’s an evolution that all swim parents share. There will be bumps along the way, and the journey is filled with ups and downs. As a parent, you are your swimmer's biggest cheerleader. Your positive and unconditional support will help your swimmers be the best they can be!
