The Ohio State Swim Club has been named a 2016 Silver Medal Club under USA Swimming’s Club Excellence Program. We’re in great company! The other five teams from Ohio Swimming to receive this recognition include: Cincinnati Marlins, Northern Kentucky Clippers, Mason Manta Rays, Dayton Raiders, and the Greater Miami Valley Y. In its 14th year, the Club Excellence program identifies clubs that execute strong, well-rounded programs to produce elite 18-and-under athletes. Congrats to Miranda Donley, Janessa Mathews, Jason Mathews, Arnold Luk, Sam Cheverton, and the other Ohio State swimmers and post grads who competed at Nationals over the weekend! While our club swimmers didn’t achieve any additional Olympic Trials cuts, we competed well against many of the fastest swimmers in the world. Congratulations to our OSSC swimmers for swimming extremely well and winning the team championship at the 2015 Senior Meet (15 & Over State Championship). You can find complete results here. This meet has historically been in March, but Ohio Swimming moved the meet to November so that we could hold a true club championship meet that doesn’t conflict with high school championship meets. The Ohio State Swim Club once again produced some of the fastest swimmers in the country! We had 11 swimmers who were Top 10 (T10) in the final 2014-15 USA Swimming National Age Group (NAG) rankings in at least one individual or relay event. This is an incredible accomplishment!
