Congrats to all of our age group, post-grad, and collegiate swimmers competing at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Omaha June 26-July 3. With past and current swimmers combined, we have 38 swimmers with OSSC connections who are competing in Omaha. Congratulations to our 92 OSSC swimmers who qualified for the 2016 Short Course Junior Olympics (14 & Under State Championships), which will be held at Ohio State next weekend! We have 84 individual qualifiers and 8 relay-only swimmers (92 total) at JOs this year. Last year we had 71 individuals and 7 relay-only swimmers for 78 total. Our OSSC swimmers continued their torrid swimming in the DI finals session on Saturday evening. We had a very large DI contingent, as 25 of our 36 swimmers competed at the DI championships in Canton over the weekend. In the 200 medley relay, OSSC swimmers helped their HS teams to strong results. Freshman Brenna Cooper, sophomore Lauren Cooper, and freshman Emma Mathews helped their Dublin Jerome team place 13th. The OSSC was well-represented at the DII State Championships in Canton this weekend. We had 11 swimmers compete for their respective high schools in multiple individual and relay events. In the 200 medley relay, freshman McKayla Moffat helped CSG to a third-place finish with one of the fastest backstroke splits (26.69) in the entire meet. Our men kept it going, as freshman Jacob Eismann and sophomore Max Dreisbach had huge splits to help their Columbus Academy team to a state runner-up finish.
