Overview
Silver is a dynamic competitive training group for swimmers typically ages 13–14. This group serves as a vital stepping stone for athletes aiming to compete at higher-level championship meets.
Training emphasizes consistency, technical refinement, and accountability, while cultivating a passion for daily improvement. Swimmers are introduced to more advanced training principles in a supportive environment that helps prepare them for the demands of upper-level swimming.
Silver swimmers consistently work on:
- Improving stroke mechanics
- Building aerobic capacity
- Learning race strategies
- Establishing personal training goals
Athletes in this group strive to achieve time standards for prominent end-of-season competitions such as:
- PVS Age Group Championships
- NCSA Age Group Championships
Silver swimmers are expected to:
- Attend practice regularly
- Manage their time effectively
- Embrace a growth mindset and daily commitment to improvement
Training Schedule
- Monday: 4:45-6:45 AM
- Tuesday: 4:30-6:30 PM
- Wednesday: 4:45-6:45 AM
- Thursday: 4:30-6:30 PM
- Friday: TBD
- Saturday: 5:30–8:00 AM

* All swimmers must wear a Metro Surge team cap at all practices and meets (one included with registration).
* Swimmers should keep an extra pair of goggles in their bag.
