MAVS EMAIL: Week of 3/11

Hey Everyone,

This past weekend we had a tremendously successful meet at the SNS 14U Short Course Championships. After a long weekend of great racing our team was able to take first place in the small team division! Other highlights include Nooa Lawrence and Roxie Jahn each getting a qualification for Far Westrerns, and Bryce Gardin taking the highpoint award for the entire 8U boys age group. Congratulations to all swimmers that competed this weekend and thank you to all of the parents and volunteers that made this weekend possible. If you have not received all of your awards or bag tags come find me at practice this week.

Swim Lessons Staff

We are hiring for our summer swim lessons staff. Mavs 13 and 14 years old are welcome to volunteer for swim lessons (and receive community service volunteer hours). Mavs 15+ are welcome to apply to become paid Lifeguards. All interested should send an email to [email protected]. Swim Lessons run Monday-Thursday from 4:00-7:30pm for the summer.

Upcoming Meets

SWAGR (Southwestern Age Group Regional Championships) - Coach Andrew will enter swimmers. If you have a qualifier, please confirm whether you will be attending no later than 3/11.

Aquasol IMX/IMR Challenge: Pre-senior, Junior, Blue and Grey Swimmers are encouraged to go to the Aqualsol IMX meet if they are not going to or qualified for SWAGR. For this meet: swimmers should sign up for every race that is offered for their age group.

Splash into Spring (4/12-4/14): We will be attending the Elk Grove "Splash into Spring" meet NOT the Folsom "Spring Splash" meet. They are on the same weekend and have very similar names so please be careful when signing up once the Elk Grove Meet is open.

Woodland Distance Meet – is now open. Talk to your coach at practice about what event to sign up for.
