Andrew Murch Aquatics Director / Head Coach

Coach Andrew started coaching in 2014.  He coached with the Orangevale Tigersharks from 2014-2021 and served as Head Coach the last 4 years. In his time there, the Tigersharks went from the middle of their league to winning back to back championships in 2019 and 2021. He also served as an Age Group Coach with the Wolverine Aquatics from 2020-2021 before joining Rocklin Swim Team as an Head Age Group Coach.

Coach Andrew started swimming at the Johnson Ranch Barracudas at age 6 and swam competitively for the next 18 years. While swimming at Granite Bay High School he was a member of 3 section championship teams, one water polo title and was a 17 time All-American. In 2016 he helped Sierra College win their first state championship and finished his swimming career at Fresno Pacific University where he graduated in 2020. He has a deep passion for swimming and believes that swimming is a great vehicle to teach life skills and teamwork. 

Nately Wareckiy-Cabreros Wave Head Coach

Coach Nately started her swimming on Rocklin Wave when she was 7 years old and continued on the team until 2020. She began coaching for the team in 2018 as a junior coach and has continued to work her way up. In 2019, she was awarded Wave’s Slasher award for being both a coach and swimmer. Nately swam two years at Sierra College and was awarded Co-Most Valuable Swimmer in 2023 for her constant positive attitude and team leadership. In 2022 she took over as the Wave assistant head coach for the younger groups. Currently she is attending Sacramento State and is majoring in Psychology. She enjoys watching the kids grow during their time on the team and works to make our swimmers good people in and out of the water.

Noah Scholar Mavericks Head Age Group Coach

Coach Noah Scholar comes to us with a background as a swimmer and polo player at Sierra College and the University of the Pacific. At Sierra College he was named CCCAA All-American for 2 years in the 200 IM, 100 Breast, 200 Breast, 200 Medley Relay and 400 Medley Relay. He was also a 2019 CCCAA State Champion in the 100 Breast and runner up in the 200 Breast. At UOP he was on the NCAA Division I water polo team and received his BS in Health and Exercise Science. Before coaching RST, he was the Head Coach at Lifetime Folsom.  He is excited to bring his experience and love for swimming to the team and look forward to helping our swimmers excel.

Isaac Abarca Wave Coach

Coach Isaac has swam for the Rocklin Wave and Rocklin Mavericks for over seven years. Isaac also has been teaching swim lessons at various institutions since 2021. Currently, he is attending Sierra College studying Biology, and swimming for their Men's Team.

Sierra Buell Wave Coach

Coach Sierra grew up in Roseville and started swimming competitively when she was 7 years old. She was a Sectional level club swimmer, and attended multiple Sectionals meets from 2015-2021. She swam at Woodcreek High School and was a 4-year Sections qualifier.  She continued her swimming career by swimming at California State University, Bakersfield, where she graduated in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She was a 3-time Western Athletic Conference qualifier (2018-2020) in her time with CSUB. 

Coach Sierra has spent multiple seasons helping both USA Swimming club teams and summer recreational programs alike. She was an assistant coach at Woodcreek High School in 2022 and became the head JV Coach in 2023. 

Coach Sierra will be pursuing further education to become a high school science teacher.

Hannah Colbus Wave Coach

Coach Hannah has been swimming with Rocklin Swim Team since she was 9 years old - spending time in Splash, Wave and Mavericks. Hannah also swam at Rocklin High School and played water polo. Hannah is attending college at BYU in Idaho where she is studying communications. Hannah has taught swim lessons with Rocklin Swim Team for the past 5 years.

Paul Miller Wave Coach

Coach Paul has been with RST since 2008. Having swam for both the Wave and Mavericks teams for more than 10 years, he is excited to be back, as a coach this time.

In 2021, Paul graduated from Rocklin High School after 4 years of swim and water polo. Coach Paul has been attending Arizona State University for two years studying Business and Sport Science. Paul is still training and competing with ASU’s club swim team.

Liz Rhodes Wave Coach

Coach Liz started swimming at the age of 4 and spent years swimming in summer rec leagues in the area. Her favorite stroke is butterfly. In addition to coaching for the Rocklin Wave, Liz also teaches swim lessons for the Rocklin Swim Team. She has a passion for water polo and competes with Rocklin High School and Sac Polo.

Heidi Vierra Wave Coach

Coach Heidi started swimming at the age of 4 and spent time swimming on both the Rocklin Wave and Rocklin Mavericks. Her favorite race to swim is breaststroke. Heidi has been teaching swim lessons with Rocklin Swim Team for the last 5 years before moving over to help coach our Wave Swimmers. Heidi is a senior at Western Sierra and plans to major in Public Health with a minor in Kinesiology.

Rachel Colbus Swim School Manager

Rachel is our Swim School Manager and has been part of our swim program and lessons program for several years.  She was a competitive swimmer for 9 years, holds Rocklin Mavericks team records, was inducted into the Rocklin High sport hall of fame for swimming, and has her lifeguard instructor certification. She attends BYU in Utah majoring in biology.
