Coaches and Directors
Sasha was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. Born into a family of aquatics enthusiasts, mom synchronized swimming, brother waterpolo, sister swimming, swimming was in her future. She swam for Punahou Aquatics from age 7 through her senior year of high school. She went to The University of San Diego and majored in business administration. After college she moved back to Hawaii and was a Manager for The Gap and Jamba Juice. She moved to California with Jamba Juice and met her husband. They have a daughter, Jesse, who also began to swim at the age of 7. She started with Lincoln Lightning and Loomis Basin Dolphins and was so excited to make the Rocklin Wave Swim Team when she was 8. Her daughter swims for a local team and will be heading off to continue her swimming career in Michigan starting in 2026. "I hope to make everyone's experience with the sport of swimming as impactful as it has been for my family."
Coach Isaac swam for the Rocklin Wave and Rocklin Mavericks for over eight years before stepping up to coaching. Coach Isaac has been teaching swim lessons at various institutions since 2021 and has been a manager with Rocklin Swim Team’s Lesson Program the last several years in addition to coaching for both Wave and Mavs. Isaac swam for Sierra College’s Men’s Team and graduated from Sierra College in 2025, studying with a focus on Biology. He is currently attending UC Davis where is he pursuing his degree in Medicine.
James swam on both Recreational and USA Swim Teams for over 10 years prior to swimming at Sierra College. He began coaching 5 years ago at the Orangevale Tigersharks as a Junior Coach, working his way up to Assistant Coach and then Head Coach, earning 4 consecutive League Championship wins. He also worked as a swim instructor during this time, focusing on private lessons and technique training. This past year, James also became the Assistant Coach for the swim team at Bella Vista High School.
Troy began swimming at 6 years old and swam competitively for 11 years prior to swimming at Sierra College. In 2024, he was the 3C2A State Champion in the 200 free and 500 free, as well as participating on the 800 Championship Relay Team. In 2025, he was named Sierra College Athlete of the Year. He enjoys distance swimming, focusing on the 1650, 500 as well as the 200 Free.
Troy is pursuing a Degree in Music, and is studying to be a composer. He's been playing the drums for 7 years, guitar for 3 years, and piano for 1 year.
Ryann has been working as a swim instructor for several years, instructing both groups and individuals of all ages. She loves teaching kids and mentoring them. She also works as a lifeguard and joined Rocklin Swim Team this summer working at our Open Swim and Swim Lesson Program in addition to teaching swim lessons elsewhere.
