MAVS EMAIL: Week of 3/25

Hey Everyone,

This past weekend we had two great meets with the IMR/IMX meet hosted by Aquasol and SWAGR hosted by Clovis Swim Club. At these meets we had a ton of great swims across all of our swimmers so picking out highlights was difficult. Congratulations to Summer Geerts for getting her first JO qualifying time in the 500 Freestyle and to Sabine Watkins for getting her first Far Western cuts in the 100 and 200 Freestyles. We have one final short course meet in two weeks with Far Westerns before we move onto our long course season over summer. As we approach our long course season: Make sure to register for meets as early as you can. Long course meets run longer than short course ones so they are more likely to hit their capacity.

No Practice Thursday 4/4 and Thursday 4/11. Unfortunately, both Whitney and Rocklin High School Swim have swim meets and we do not have pool space. These are the only cancellations we anticipate for the spring.  

Upcoming Meets

2024 Spring into Splash (4/13-14): The meet is now open. Please make sure to register ASAP in order to make sure you get into the meet.

Woodland Distance (4/21): Talk with your coach to determine which of the distances to sign up for.
