MAVS WEEKLY EMAIL: Week of 5/6

Hey Everyone,

This past week we had 3 of our Senior group athletes competing in the section championship for their respective highschools. All three swimmers swam fantastic with Emma Warner taking 6th place in both the 200 IM and 500 Free, Cate Kadden taking 2nd in the 200 Free and 5th in the 100 Fly, and Sarah Pflueger getting 4th in the 100 Fly and winning the 500 Free. Congratulations to all of our highschool athletes on a successful season.

Practice Times this Week:

Monday-Friday: Normal Practices

Saturday 5/11: NO PRACTICE due to the CCA Meet.

Sunday 5/12: Long Course Practice at Roseville Aquatics Complex (RAC) - ALL GROUPS.

Seniors and Preseniors (1&2): 8-10 AM

Blue: 8-9:15

Grey: 8-8:45

Monday 5/13: NO PRACTICE due to Sunday practices.

Team Building Event: Our next team building event will be Friday, 5/31, from 5:30-7:00pm. Tacos and Trivia Night

Masters: We will be running a Masters Swimming Program for the Summer Session. Parents: if you are interested, details can be found here.

Upcoming Meets:

5/11 Quad-Meet at CCA – Meet details will be sent out by midweek.

5/17-5/19: Woodland Spring Classic – Meet is still open. If you haven’t signed up and would still like to do so soon. This meet will have 12 and under swimmers in the AM and 13+ swimmers in the PM.

5/25-5/26: Tiger Tail Meet – Meet is open. If you plan to attend, please sign up soon. If you would like to spend the night Friday and/or Saturday details for a room block are included at the link.  Coaches, swimmers, and parents can meet Saturday evening to hang out in the hotel courtyard. Discounted hotel rate only if booked before the cut-off on 5/10.

6/7-6/9: Summer Sanders (Qualifiers) - Meet is open. List of qualifying times are available on the meet sheet.

12/5-12/8: Holiday Swim Festival (Qualifiers) – We will be going back to the AZ Championship Meet this December. 2024 Qualifying times have not been released yet but they are very close each year. 2023 times are posted at the link.

Meet Attire: Meet Attire moving forward: Saturday: navy blue RST shirt; Sunday: any RST attire you would like. We still have a few shirts that need to be picked up. Please ask your coach if you still need yours.
