WAVE: Champs Information

Hi Wave families!

This email is in regards to our Champs Meet, July 27-28. Sign-ups due 7/15.

All swimmers who have attended at least two dual meets (including our meet 7/13 at Sunrise) are eligible to attend Champs. This is a chance for your swimmer to swim all events against the five teams in our conference and see their improvement over the season. The top 10 swimmers in each event advance to finals which will be swum with relays at the end of each day. It’s a fun weekend and we hope all our swimmers are able to attend! 

The events are split between the two days with prelims in the morning and early afternoon, and finals and relays in the late afternoon. 

Swimmers who commit to attend will be entered into all their age group events on both Saturday and Sunday. 6 and under swimmers will only attend on Saturday. The meet is divided into 4 shifts a day rather than 2. Each stroke is a shift, plus relays and finals is shift 4 each day.

Parents: Please sign up for at least 2 volunteer shifts each day (this would be equivalent to 1 shift at a dual meet). 6 and under swimmers, please sign up for 2 shifts on Saturday.
