Weekly Mail 6/16
Hey Everyone,
This weekend we had a nice showing at the Woodland Distance time trial meet. It’s a great meet for kids to try out bigger swims and stuff they may not get a chance to do anywhere else. We had a bunch of best times in our distance events highlighted by Sarah Pflueger’s 800 Fly.
No Practice Monday 6/16 due to the meet weekend and long course practice today.
Senior and Presenior 1 athletes that wish to come in for an optional practice may due so from 8-9:30.
Practice Friday and Saturday for those NOT attending the Concord Meet will be at normal times.
Concord Meet (6/20-22) – Details are available at the link. Note: Friday is also an AM session. There are no timing or official requirements. Arrive by 7:30am for warmups at 7:45am.
Swim-A-Thon: Our swim-a-thon is coming up! We appreciate your help in this event. All information can be found at the link. We are asking for just a $50 contribution per family. Funds go to extras that improve our programming (last year we were able to purchase the Time Drops system to allow for our Block Party Meets, along with additional dryland equipment). Donate, help the team, win a prize!
Parents: if you are available to volunteer during your swimmer’s practice time, please sign up at the link under “Job Signups”.
June Upcoming Events:
June 18: Fundraising at Tomatina – lunch, dinner and takeout all day.
June 25: Swim-a-Thon during normal practice times - Information will be sent out later this week. We started this last year with our Wave swimmers and will be making it a team event this year.
Team Photos: The link to the photos and info on purchasing will be sent out from Matty Fran Media within the next week.
