Lap Swimming

Hours: 

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Daily with the exception of when the faciltiy is hosting an event.  Check the closure tab above for up to date closures.

Beginning Sunday, May 26, 2024 lap swimming will not be offered on Sundays moving forward as we will regularly close for maintenance.

Cost:

            Adults:  $4/swim or $60/20 swims (with purchase of a punch card.  Punch cards are available at the Natatorium desk                          between 11 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

            Current Alamo Heights Students (with ID): Free

            Lap swimming is first-come-first-serve.  No reservations.

            If you bring a person to give you a swim lesson, that person must pay admission as well.

Guidelines: 

1. Each lane is limited to 4 persons.

2. There are typically 6-13 lanes available depending on other activities that day.

3. Circle swimming is always in effect.

4. There is a large “lane” with steps.  It is 3.5 feet deep and is good for walking.  This lane is for walking and water aerobics rather than swimming.  Circle walking is in effect.  

5. Swimmers must bring their own equipment. 

6. The locker room is available.  Lockers may be locked with a pad lock but all locks should be removed daily.  Those that are not will be discarded at the end of the day.  Swimmers may leave their swim bags on the deck close to their lane if they choose.

7. There are two public restrooms just off of the pool deck which can also be used for changing.  

8. Lap swimming is open to all community members.  You do not have to live in AHISD.
