Weekend Tournaments
We are a competitive youth water polo club and participation in weekend tournaments is expected. Water Polo is a smaller, niche sport and many of our tournaments are located in Houston and Dallas.
JUNIOR OLYMPICS:
USA Water Polo hosts the National Junior Olympics Session III (JO's) late July in Dallas. This session of JO's is a non-qualifying, open tournament, and it is a great opportunity to play water polo with teams from all over the country. The growth that our athletes experience over the course of this four day tournament is incredible. This event the culminating tournament for the sport and a tournament teams work toward over the course of the entire year. The athletes really look forward to it, as it shows the payoff of a years worth of training.

Club Water Polo "Year at a Glance:"
Fall (minimal travel):
High School Season - club is still open for athletes to get extra training in on top of school practices. One tournament in Dallas at the end of the season for HS players.
Age Group (10/12/14u) - practices, plus a San Antonio tournament in October, TAGS in Houston in November.
Winter (minimal travel):
ALL AGE GROUPS -
Regular practices, minimal tournaments available over the holidays, local game days are scheduled.
San Antonio tournament in early February.
Spring (tournament season begins!):ALL AGE GROUPS -
Starting in February, tournament season is in full swing! We have one tournament every month until Junior Olympics. This is our competition season and we want our kids playing games as much as possible! Our competition are training and competing, and we will be too.
Summer (tournament season continues! + JO's):
ALL AGE GROUPS -
Regular practices, more tournaments, JO prep is in full swing!
August:
We take a long break after JO's and resume when school starts!
For the weekend tournaments, athletes/parents will receive an email for each event. There is a tournament fee ($125) for two day travel tournaments. Hotel costs are not included. The club must cover tournament entry fees, and coach compensation for these tournaments. Please look for the sign up deadline so you do not miss out on entering!
