The Alamo Area Water Polo - Summer Season 2024 will begin on Wednesday, May 15th at the Alamo Heights Natatorium, Josh Davis Natatorium, and the SWISD Aquatic Center (Athlete Registration).  All athletes are welcome and there will be a practice group for everyone (no experience necessary…beginners are welcome!!!).  We want all athletes to do what they can when they can.  The expectation is for athletes to choose which practice location/times work best for their schedule.  Athletes will be able to attend all practices for their age groups each week at both practice locations (no additional fees).  

Athletes will be split into practice groups based on age/experience so please be sure to choose the proper practice group when registering (age as of August 1, 2024).  There will be multiple practices each week for the various age groups, plus Game Days, and Weekend Tournaments.  The monthly club dues include all practices and Game Days.  For the optional Weekend Tournaments, there will be additional costs.  All Spring Season practices, Game Days and Weekend Tournaments have been updated at the Alamo Area Water Polo – Online Calendar.  Again, ALL ARE WELCOME at the club…come out, play, practice, compete, learn, and have fun (please spread the word….Athlete Registration, Spring Season Info).

Athlete Registration Information:  New athletes to the club will need to pay an athlete registration fee which will cover the rest of the practices/game days remaining in the month they register.  All monthly dues after that will be paid on the first of each month (see monthly dues listed below).  

  • New Athletes:  All new athletes need to complete the club registration.
  • Former Athletes:  All former Alamo Area Water Polo athletes can email j[email protected] to reactivate your club registration/monthly payments.
  • Current Athletes: Athletes who are current Alamo Area Water Polo registered athletes do not need to complete the club registration to continue to play this Summer Season.  Simply keep coming to practice, Game Days, etc.  NOTE:  If an athlete needs/wants to take a break from the club, please email j[email protected] and we will suspend their club membership/monthly payments (please give at least 30 days notice).

    • 14U/12U/10U Athletes:  $75/month.  Includes all practices and Game Days.
    • 18U/16U Athletes:  $95/month.  Includes all practices and Game Days.

Alamo Area Water Polo - Game Days:  All athletes will have the opportunity to play in Game Days (part of monthly dues, no extra costs).  Athletes will automatically be assigned to at least one team and play at least two games each game day (games within a division will be scheduled back to back or with one game break...no waiting around all day for games).  A schedule for each Game Day will be emailed to everyone the Monday prior to the specific Game Day.  There is no extra charge for these Game Days as this is part of the program/seasonal dues.  Some Game Days will simply be intra-club while others will be against other club teams in the South Texas area.  All Game Days will be at the Alamo Heights Natatorium.
  • Alamo Area Water Polo – Summer Game Day #1:  Sunday, May 19th at the Alamo Heights Natatorium.  All Athletes/Age Groups.
  • Alamo Area Water Polo – Summer Game Day #2:  Sunday, June 9th at the Alamo Heights Natatorium.  All Athletes/Age Groups.
  • Alamo Area Water Polo – Summer Game Day #3:  Sunday, June 30th at the Alamo Heights Natatorium.  All Athletes/Age Groups.
  • Alamo Area Water Polo – Summer Game Day #4:  Sunday, July 28th at the Alamo Heights Natatorium.  All Athletes/Age Groups.
Alamo Area Water Polo - Weekend Tournaments:  All athletes will have the opportunity to play in optional Weekend Tournaments throughout the year.  For the weekend tournaments, athletes/parents will receive an email for each event.   The weekend tournaments do require extra costs regarding entry fees, possible travel expenses, etc.  All info regarding costs, transportation, hotels, etc. for the specific event will be included in a tournament specific email.  Athletes/Parents will need to register by the “commitment deadline” in order to insure their participation.  We will enter as many teams as needed to make sure everyone gets plenty of playing time.  This will be the same process for ALL weekend tournaments out of town or local in San Antonio.
  • Welcome to Texas Tournament:  June 1-2, 2024 at the NISD Natatorium/Swim Center.  All Athletes/Age Groups.
  • Endless Summer Classic:  June 22-23, 2024 in North Texas (various locations).  All Athletes/Age Groups.
  • Suns Out/Guns Out Tournament:  July 13-14, 2024 in Houston (various locations).  All Athletes/Age Groups.
  • USA Water Polo - National Junior Olympics - Session #3:  August 1-4, 2024 in North Texas (various locations).  All Athletes/Age Groups.
