NOTHERS MEET
We had a great and successful meet at Nothers 2010, THANK YOU to all the volunteers, coaches, and parents that have made this event possible. Senior officials, minor officials, set up crew, kitchen crew, and treasurer – you all did an awesome job.
Special thanks to Denise McDonald, our meet referee and Rose Bloch-Hansen, our office guru. We could not have done it without your help.
Thanks again and I look forward to working with you all soon.

CHRISTMAS TRAINING SCHEDULE
Now available on the LAC website under the schedule tab. This schedule runs from Dec 20 until Dec 31. Regular schedule resumes Jan 3.
STROKES AND TURNS
For those of you inspired to take the strokes and turns course after this weekend, please contact Stacey at [email protected] for how to take the course on-line or so she can gauge the interest in having a strokes and turns clinic. If we could get some interest in the next couple of weeks, we could use the December time trial as a place for parents to get some valuable experience in a low pressure situation.
Remember that the real winner in getting your strokes and turns is your swimmer(s)!
EQUIPMENT
All of the personalized equipment is in and there are still several pieces that have yet to be picked up. If you could please contact Jacqui at [email protected] as soon as possible to arrange pick up it would be greatly appreciated.
SC REGIONALS – HOTEL ROOMS
Hotel rooms have been put aside for LAC families at the Best Western Brant Park Inn, Brantford. Traditional room of two double beds, free continental breakfast, rate $114.99 per night. Rooms are booked from Thurs. Feb.3rd - Sun. Feb 6th, 2011; if you prefer to change arrival or departure date please mention while booking to ensure no additional charges occur. Rooms are put aside for LAC families until Dec.23rd, 2010 whereby extra rooms will be released to the general public. Please call the Best Western at (519)753-8651 if you would like to reserve a room (your own credit card required). First come, first served basis.

Hotel rooms have been put aside for LAC families at the Holiday Inn Express, Ottawa, 45 Robertson Rd (just opened Aug., 2010). Classic rooms with 2 queen beds, free parking, "Smart Start Breakfast Bar" included in rate of $149.00 per night (one room with 1 King Bed @ $129.00 per night available). Rooms are booked from Wed. Feb.23rd - Mon.Feb. 28, 2011; if you need to change arrival or departure date please mention while booking to ensure no additional charges occur. Rooms are put aside for LAC families until Jan. 23rd, 2011, whereby extra rooms will be released to the general public. Please call the Holiday Inn Express at (613) 690-0100 if you would like to reserve a room (your own credit card is required). First come, first served basis.
