THANK YOU!

GREG LEWIS (and the whole meet management team) for an outstanding job as meet manager of the 12&U Celebration.

TRACY HOFFMAN for chaperoning the Brock Invitational trip.

**IMPORTANT REMINDER**

With respect to our online meet entry procedure, the coaches are overall quite happy with how everyone has adapted to the process.  We would like to reiterate that we need everyone signing in to the club website regularly, and checking the "EVENTS" section, so we can finalize our meet entries in a timely fashion.  It is important for you to declare your intentions EITHER WAY.  Just as we need to know if a swimmer is attending, we also need to know if a swimmer is NOT attending, and we need to know this by the published ENTRY DEADLINE.  Thank you very much for your patience and cooperation as we move forward.

12 & UNDER CELEBRATION SWIM MEET

We just completed our 15th annual 12 & Under swim meet, and by all accounts it was a big success.  We had 417 swimmers attend from 16 clubs over the two days, and although it was often a bit cramped on deck, we still had some great swims and a lot of fun.  We saw a total of 19 new meet records set this weekend; among them were 7 set by LAC swimmers: 4 by Maggie MacNeil, 2 by Jenna Roman and 1 by Aiden Riekenbrauck.  Congratulations to all 3 swimmers, and to the rest of the LAC team for performing exceptionally well.

Sincere thanks go out to all of the support staff who helped to make this meet the success it was.  Outstanding job done by everyone; including the canteen staff, awards staff, meet setup and tear-down crew, timers, officials and office staff.  This meet had over 80 support people directly involved, and without their help, it would simply not be possible to manage a meet of this size.  It has been one of our most popular meets in recent years, and with the fantastic support we receive from our volunteers, that should continue well into the future.

Thanks again.

Greg Lewis
